The practicalities matter

Minor observations can help make your day passable:-

Avoid:
1.Large crowds - not only does the feeling of claustrophobia take over but in a split second your purse or wallet could well be in a small/well oiled but unnoticeable hand or on the ground, having glided out of your bag/back pocket, without you realising
2.Long queues in cafes or fast food restaurants as this normally spur on a somewhat abrupt and uncalled-for snappiness with the server/cashier - who’s probably been standing for at least 4 hours already, yet in that moment of eager anticipation, your purse or wallet could easily slip out of your bag or get snatched
3.Drinking too much tea and/or coffee (not at the same time, I hope) - imagine waiting in a queue for at least 10 mins, on average, for a vacant public toilet cubicle in a high street fast food restaurant, usually very busy and worse, early morning, noon ’til two and early evening (high peak periods)
4.Wearing high heels - unless you can cope with heels stuck in manhole covers and/or a twisted ankle on the way to a cafe for some caffeine no, coffee (black) to be more precise or a cognac-induced drink - failing that, run to the off-licence for a bottle of the stuff, provided they open that early and aim at avoiding the manholes if possible
5.People in long dark coats on a warm day - back to that well oiled hand again and that visible purse/wallet

Hopefully, if all goes well, you’ll be back home putting the kettle on for that well deserved hot beverage - or especially on a warm day like today, that cold lager/beer/wine/whiskey/brandy - take your pick.
